У време писања овог текста, МариаДБ 10.1 је развојна верзија МариаДБ-а. Заснован је на МариаДБ 5.5 и укључује функције са преносом уназад из МиСКЛ 5.6. Постоје и нове функције које су ексклузивне за МариаДБ.

За ЦентОС, РедХат и Федора, топло се препоручује да се инсталирају из спремишта користећи иум. Овај водич ће вас провести кроз кораке инсталације за ЦентОС 6.

Додајте МариаДБ спремиште

Прво, проверите да ли је листа доступних пакета ажурирана пре инсталирања. Отворите свој ССХ терминал и унесите следеће команде.

yum -y update

Додајте МариаДБ спремиште.

nano /etc/yum.repos.d/MariaDB.repo

За 32-битне кориснике, налепите следећи текст:

Инсталирајте софтвер

By default, a MariaDB installation has an anonymous user, allowing anyone
to log into MariaDB without having to have a user account created for
them. This is intended only for testing, and to make the installation
go a bit smoother. You should remove them before moving into a
production environment.

Normally, root should only be allowed to connect from 'localhost'. This
ensures that someone cannot guess at the root password from the network.

By default, MariaDB comes with a database named 'test' that anyone can

before moving into a production environment.
